Maki a Mano
Maki A Mano occupies a 1300 sq. ft. space nestled between the Chelsea Market concourse and the 15th Street pedestrian path. A semi-casual omakase bar offering a Nikkei approach to traditional Japanese hand roll.
Next to N° Between’s Tunnel Entrance in the concourse, Maki A Mano opens to public with wide 2 bays entrance while also gives public a grab and go option on the third bay called Maki Mini. The space features a centered hand roll bar designed to resemble an altar where fresh seafood and ingredients are well respected from Japanese and Peruvian cuisine culture.
Soft-edged transitions and natural finishes enhance the organic atmosphere. Decorative lighting is strategically placed to highlight soft corners, while perforated circular motifs, moon-shaped lights, and counter hooks create a sense of softness and comfort.
Guests are welcomed with handcrafted merchandise shelving and greeted by hosts to be seated at a communal omakase counter, encouraging shared experiences among patrons.
