Raleigh Iron Works

Raleigh Iron Works is located at a crossroads between multiple burgeoning neighborhoods, serving as a vital link to the new innovation economy, including Dock 1053, within a historically industrial setting.

By incorporating photos and documents from the archives of Raleigh Iron Works' factories, a series of 11 original artworks were meticulously crafted and installed throughout the building's lobbies. Each artwork seamlessly combines historic assets and contemporary design elements, resulting in a truly distinctive design. These images and documents prominently feature the steel-making process, factory workers, and machinery, transporting visitors to a bygone era while also highlighting the building's industrial heritage. The property itself offers a diverse and vibrant office environment, breathing new life into the Iron Works District.

The partners contributed to this project as part of their prior employment at Jamestown. Project implementation included creative direction from Jamestown leadership and support from a broader team of designers and creatives employed at the firm.
